About Sharon

My story is a work in progress. 

I’m a recovering “Preacher’s Kid” learning to find a closeness and intimacy with God I’ve never experienced before.  My journey started with many years of being the perfect PK and progressed to Bible college and on to a career in Marketing.  But, in 2006 my journey took an unexpected turn as my six-year marriage ended in divorce.  

Safe to say, my journey and my story have increased in intensity and complexity since then.  I’ve travelled halfway around the world on an adventure of a lifetime in Australia for 6 months and soon will move on to Mars Hill Graduate School in Seattle to pursue my Masters in Counseling Psychology.

I’ve known great joy and profound loss, all part of this path that is my story.  My journal is full of laments similar to the Psalms, though I don’t claim to be a “David”.  But it is also filled with proof that God never breaks His promises.  He’s never let me down though I’ve often threatened to give up.

Journey with me on this blog as I continue to wrestle with the hard questions in life and face the uncertainty of the future.  I’m certain God has amazing things to show me, I hope you’ll find encouragement through them as well.
